Forest Knights	They have courses in in all sorts of outdoors stuff - bushcraft, first aid, warrior arts, archery etc. They also arrange expeditions and conoeing trips. I'm an instructor here doing bowmaking courses and other bits and pieces.
Dave Budd Knives	Dave makes beautiful knives and edged tools. He will also refurbish good old tools. He also gives prim tech, knifemaking and sharpening courses. I have worked with him on a bow making course in his beautiful woods on the edge of Dartmoor. Having taught him to make a bow I know his meticulous attention to detail first hand. If you ever bump into him get him to show you his miniatures but be careful they are a sharp as the full sized object!
Society for the Promotion of Traditional Archery	I'm a membeer of the SPTA. We think a lot alike. We like wooden bows and arrows and the fun of shooting traditional equipment is more important than extracting another fps or putting every arrow on the cross.
North Heigham Sawmill	Good wood. My main supplier of lemonwood, purpleheart, hickory and all the other fancy hardwoods I use. It's a seven hour round trip if the M25 is behaving itself but I buy enough to last a couple of months. Seem like nice people to deal with.
Quicks	The Apps Court shop is very close to me and I use them a lot for arrow parts especially. They also let you shoot at their outdoor butts at a very resonable prce. If you aren't near them they do mail order and have an extensive onine catalogue.
Bingham Projects	If your taste is more for 'engineered' bows have a look at this site. Everything from the bits to build some fine looking bows including the bits to make presses to ready made recurves.
Harrelson bows	These look a lot like Binghams. They are very pretty and look well made.

My Favourite Archery Books - Hilary Greenland	I was truly stunned by this book. I read it 3 times cover to cover one holiday. I thought I'd 'invented' some of my techniques but Hilary was there first. No magic, no mystery, dimensions for lots of different kinds of bow. Invaluable arrow making info too. Buy it before you make your next bow.
My Favourite Archery Books - Jim Hamm	It's astonishing how bow design developed on two continents, presumably independantly but the North American bows and European bows are a very similar design.
My Favourite Archery Books - TBB	The Traditional Boyers bible is 3 volumes of articles by some of the best bowyers around. While I wouldn't suggest it as a practicl guide it's very interesting reading.
